Haggard
Performed 31st March - 3rd April 2022
Set in the 18th Century ‘Haggard’ tells the story of Squire Amos Haggard, constantly hard up, lecherous, dishonest, and drunk.
Haggard is assisted by Grunge, his hapless but loyal servant; and his son Roderick, both of whom are always drawn into Haggard’s schemes. The three of them blunder their way through a series of misadventures including a wedding, a brush with pirates, a duel, and the plague! With its parallel to ‘Blackadder’, this comedy moves along at a fast pace.
