The Better 'Ole

Performed August 21st - 23rd 2014

MAD's first production at Newhaven Fort, celebrating the centenary commemoration of WW1

The Better 'Ole was written by Capt. Bruce Bairnsfather and Capt. Arthur Eliot and was first produced at the Oxford Theatre in London on 4 August 1917. Suffice to say it became one of the great dramatic successes of the war and ran in the West End for nearly two years.
